Every year there is a need for coaches. Sometimes we are short on head coaches, and every year we need assistant coaches. Most of the league's coaches are a parent who is willing to volunteer their time to help with the team. These volunteers are essential to our league and many times have no coaching experience. Many of these assistants think that they are not ready to be a coach. The reality is you don't need to be ready, per se. If you wait until you are ready, you will never be a coach. If you think you can help teach children, keep their attention, give constructive criticism, and mentor them you will probably be a good assistant. Assistant coaching can be extremely rewarding and low stress. You can rely on your head coach for the majority of the football decisions and support him in the team's quest to play quality football. Experience playing football or coaching other sports is always helpful, but not required. The best coaches are the ones who love working with kids and are there to make sure the kids learn the game and play it correctly.

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families. If you are a coach or team manager, we have created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app to efficiently and effectively communicate and manage your teams.
